Mumbai, March 11, 2019 (News Team): How do you define the time period you’d take to choose a home or a car or a pair of shoes? Doesn’t it take a bit of understanding, contemplating and then finally making a decision? A young girl, Mishti dwells upon a similar question in her overthinking mind – “Why can’t two people understand and spend time with each other before getting into a big commitment like marriage?”
StarPlus’ brand new offering Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke is a fresh take on decision-making over choosing your life partner. The spin-off version of StarPlus’ longest running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is produced by Rajan Shahi. The show that took off in 2009 revolved around one such hurried arranged marriage between Akshara and Naitik. The 2.0 version however introduces a progressive thinking female lead Mishti, who is Naira’s cousin sister. The reserved yet intelligent, over thinking yet non-confrontational Mishti believes in the fact that the right to choose a life partner needs to be a deliberate decision which will require time.
Talking more about his new show, Producer Rajan Shahi says, “After the success of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai we thought that we should come up with an extension of the show that will bring about a new and fresh point of view and give viewers a perspective towards life by way of progressive thinking. Through Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, we want to question the thought of people whether one or two meetings are enough in recognizing their potential would-be. There are several aspects involved and more importantly, the connect between the two individuals needs to be understood and checked, for which two meetings are just deficient. The show is a fresh take on the process of match-making with respect to the current and older mindsets.”
Actress Rhea Sharma who plays the character of Mishti on the show reveals, “I am excited to be a part of the show because of its rich and prosperous legacy, a unique character, simple yet gripping script and a brilliant cast. I also always target to do something unique and interesting and Mishti’s role is very new and distinctive than other characters that I have played on screen before. I feel extremely grateful to get an opportunity to play Mishti and I hope viewers enjoy my performance on screen as much as I enjoy shooting for it.”
While the very talented Rhea Sharma plays the role of Mishti, television’s popular actor Shaheer Sheikh has been roped in opposite her as Abir. The show also stars well-known actors like Rupal Patel, Rithvik Arora and Kaveri Priyam who play key roles in the story.
In a society that still swears by its traditional norms will Mishti be successful enough in establishing her point? Find out only on Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, every Monday to Friday from 18th March at 10pm, only on StarPlus.
