Winners of ASISC Regional Level Debate Competition |
Ludhiana, August 21, 2019 (Akash Sharma): ASISC Regional Level Debate Competition for Category I and II, Senior and Junior, respectively was conducted at Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana on 21st August, 2019. A total number of 12 schools participated in the competition. The jury to judge the competition included Dinesh Kapila, a National trainer from JCI India, and Varinder Datta, Faculty at Ludhiana Chapter of ICAI for Category I and Ms. Balwinder Kaur Brar, Asstt. Prof. in English Partap College of Education, Ludhiana and Ms. Baishakhi Banerjee, also an Asstt. Prof. in English Partap College of Education, Ludhiana for Category II.
All the contestants put forth their views and arguments skillfully and convincingly. In Category I, Mehak Bakhshi of Sat Paul Mittal School was adjudged the Best Speaker and Navya Aggarwal from The Frank Anthony Public School, Delhi, bagged the First Runner-up position. Hemant Kumar from St.Kabir School, Hissar won the Second Runner-up position. Sat Paul Mittal School, Ludhiana took away the Best Team trophy.
In Category II, Divit Chopra of Scottish High International School, Gurgaon was adjudged the Best Speaker and Manan from St.Kabir School, Hissar bagged the First Runner-up position. And Samreen Kaur from Sacred Heart Convent School, Amritsar won the Second Runner-up position. St.Kabir School, Hissar took away the Best Team trophy.
All the winners were congratulated for their laudable achievements and were awarded with a certificate of merit. The winners would represent the region at National Level.
