Amritsar, April 19, 2023 (Nannu Studio): FLO Amritsar is gearing up for its Stellar Sixth year under the leadership of Himani Arora. With a vision to empower women and provide them with the tools and resources they need to succeed, FLO is taking concrete steps towards creating a more inclusive and supportive community.
One of the initiatives announced by FLO is the establishment of a gender-inclusive counselling cell in partnership with the Punjab Police. The cell, named "Khushion Ka Bagh," will offer counselling sessions to both men and women who have been victims of domestic and digital abuse. Through this collaboration, FLO aims to raise awareness about these issues and provide support to those who have been affected.
FLO is also launching several other initiatives, including the Outdoor Sports Crew, which focuses on promoting health and wellness through outdoor sports and the Skilling initiative which empowers underprivileged women by providing them with skills and resources to build successful businesses.
Other initiatives include Digital Roadmap, which aims to provide knowledge and confidence in navigating the world of technology and Legal Lifelines, which provides legal support and education to women who may not be aware of their rights.
FLO is also launching its Anthem, a musical tribute to the beauty and culture of Amritsar, aimed at promoting the city and its tourism industry to the world. Additionally, the organization is launching FLO Gen-Z, a mentorship program aimed at igniting young minds and Finding Balance, a mental health series focused on self-care and healing.
Through these initiatives, FLO Amritsar is working towards creating a world where women feel confident, independent and empowered to achieve their goals. Chairperson Himani Arora believes that by working together, we can create a more equal and fair society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
