: FICCI FLO Amritsar commenced its landmark Year of Infinity with a deeply evocative and culturally rich event titled ‘Chardi Kala – A Soulful Baisakhi Celebration’, Conceptualised under the leadership of Ms Mona Singh, the 8th Chairperson of FLO Amritsar, the evening brought together tradition, inspiration and community spirit in a celebration that marked both continuity and a new chapter for the organisation.

Central to the event was a profoundly moving performance by the renowned Harshdeep Kaur, whose devotional and powerful renditions captured the essence of the Punjabi spirit and left the audience deeply stirred. Her presence elevated the event into a transcendent experience, uniting attendees in a collective sense of cultural pride and spiritual upliftment.

The event was graced by the presence of several eminent dignitaries and public officials whose support reflected the significance of the occasion. Among the distinguished guests were Gurjeet singh Aujla (Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha), Kuwar Vijay Partap Singh (Former IPS Officer, north assembly constituency MLA), Sandeep Rishi (IAS (Indian Administrative Service, DC Sangroor), Jagjit singh walia, DCP City, Amritsar, and AIG NRI, Amritsar, Gursimranjeet kaur PCS - Assistant Commissioner Amritsar, Professor Adarsh Pal Vij, Punjab pollution control board, Department of science and technology and environment, B.D Sharma ji GM, Kartarpur corridor, Land airport and Mandeep’s singh Ahuja - counsellor ward number four.

Also present were Ms Neeta Boochra, Past National President of FLO and founder of the Jaipur chapter, and Ms Shalini Beriwal, National Head, Project Wings—both of whom brought with them invaluable experience and support.

The programme acknowledged the contribution of past Chairpersons, introduced the new Executive Committee, and recognised the Senior Executive team for their continued commitment.

Under the umbrella of The Year of Infinity, a series of visionary initiatives were announced: Adoption of Five Villages under FLO Amritsar’s rural development and upliftment programme, aimed at driving long-term, community-based impact.

‘SwarDeep’, a music school established under the Missiondeep Education Society, supported by Melody Home and spearheaded by FLO’s Senior Vice Chairperson Ms Tannya Khanna, with a focus on inclusive education through the healing power of music.

‘Drone Sisters’, a pioneering initiative by Ms Navshaant Chhina, designed to empower young women in rural areas by providing them with training in drone technology for agricultural use and entrepreneurial advancement.

The evening featured spirited performances that showcased local talent and cultural vibrancy, including a dynamic act by Pankaj & Preeti, an impressive drumming performance by 14-year-old Siya Mehra, and a powerful Shiv Tandav recital by young Naisha Khanna.

The event was generously supported by Indian Oil, recognised for its flagship programmes Vidushi and Shakti, and Bank of Baroda, a champion of financial literacy and empowerment for women.

With Chardi Kala—a state of eternal optimism and resilience—as its guiding philosophy, the Year of Infinity was launched with profound purpose. Under the stewardship of Ms Mona Singh, FLO Amritsar embarks on a year dedicated to inclusion, innovation and impact.
